 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist She was born in Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and started her career shortly after immigrating from Israel to the United States as a child actress. She came to prominence for her appearances on AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since 2020. In addition to her commercial appearances, she was an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also starred in an ongoing role as a character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also been the voice of Squirrel girl in Marvel Rising since 2018, after she was cast in the television pilot that has not yet aired New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. At the age of two, she and her parents relocated to the U.S. as refugees to avoid antisemitism and settled in West Hollywood. The financial struggles of her family caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. She quit her sophomore year and obtained an GED. Following that, she went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree in communication from the University of California San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and learned improv comedy.
